Constitution Camp is an event in the 3rd week in June, for children who have finished 1st thru 6th graders to learn about America’s most important document. 14 through 18-year-olds may apply as teen helpers.
The United States Constitution stands as a testament to the tenacity of Americans throughout history to maintain their liberties, freedoms and inalienable rights.
Event Description: This Camp to study the Constitution and our founding fathers is a free non-political event hosted by the Elizabeth Crockett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Granbury, Texas. It is designed to utilize community resources: buildings, historical groups, local and state officials and government entities. With the help of the Sons of the American Revolution and others, members of the local DAR will provide fun learning-experiences in a day camp setting for approximately 60 students 10 teen helpers and 20 adult volunteer, plus special guest including George Washington, Ben Franklin and more. Constitution Camp is a great time to learn more about this important document and celebrate the freedoms it gave us. Get involved by encouraging young people to sign the Constitution Camp Proclamation Pledge.
